Tyler Bryant And The Shakedown

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown is a rock band from Nashville, Tennessee.

After relocating to Nashville at the age of 17 from Honey Grove, Texas, Tyler Bryant met drummer Caleb Crosby. After only a week, the two formed "The Shakedown" and began performing as a group with Calvin Webster on bass. Bryant was later introduced to Boston guitarist Graham Whitford (son of Aerosmith's Brad Whitford) and immediately asked Whitford to relocate to Nashville to join the group. Noah Denney was the final addition to the group, cementing the current lineup.

The group's first full-length album, Wild Child, featured all-analog recording with engineer Vance Powell (Jack White, Beck, Seasick Steve).[1] Wild Child was released January 22, 2013 by Carved Records and includes tracks featured in Rolling Stone,[2] Nylon,[3] and Interview.[4]

November 13, 2015 saw the release of the band's 6-track EP, The Wayside, on John Varvatos Records/Republic Records. Vance Powell was re-enlisted as the producer/engineer, and the EP was recorded at Sputnik Sound in Nashville.

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown has spent ample time touring, performing with acts such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and ZZ Top, as well as performing throughout the rock and blues club circuit. They were the opening act for Guns N' Roses in Cincinnati, OH on July 6, 2016 during the band's ongoing "Not In This Lifetime..." reunion tour, and will make a second appearance on the tour in Glendale, AZ on August 15, 2016.
