Heilung is an experimental folk band of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Their label is Season of Mist. Their albums include Ofnir (2015) and Lifa (2017). Heilung means "healing" in German.
Heilung was nominated in the Best Underground Band category for a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award in 2018. Their 2017 performance at Midgardsblot was listed as one of the ten best performances of 2017 by Metal Hammer. In the same year, they recorded their live album Lifa at Castlefest in the Netherlands, which has received over 6.5 million views after its release on YouTube. Their debut album was reissued on vinyl and CD by Season of Mist in April of 2018.[7] In August 2018 Heilung headlined alternative music, folk music and experimental music festival Mėnuo Juodaragis.[citation needed]
