Forced Entry

Forced Entry was formed by Tony Benjamins and Brad Hull in 1983, under the name Condition Critical. They initially both performed guitar and vocals, and went through 2 drummers and about 5 bassists (including Tony's brother Curt Benjamins on drums and Larry Harwood on bass, who were in Bleeder together a short time later) before the decision was made that Tony would switch to bass. Colin Mattson was recruited as a drummer, stabilizing the lineup, and in 1986 a new name, Forced Entry, was decided on.

After 9 years of activity under this name, they disbanded in 1995, following a 4-year period with no releases. Later in '95 a four-song EP The Shore, which was recorded in 1990-1991 during the As Above, So Below sessions was released.

The band reunited briefly in 2002, and as of November 2020 are active again. Metal Storm reported that reunion shows are in the works for 2021.

Two-thirds of the band (Tony Benjamins and Colin Mattson) confirmed in a February 2021 interview on the Misery Point Radio show that Forced Entry is indeed active again and searching for a replacement for unavailable guitarist Brad Hull. They are also considering writing new music under a new lineup.
