Favorite Music: metal, hard rock, punk, etc. Bands include (in no particular order): Metallica, the Offspring, Machine Head, Lamb of God, KsE, High on Fire, 36 Crazyfists, Black Sabbath, Rise Against, Opeth, Green Day, Finger Eleven, STP, Alice in Chains, Five Finger Death Punch, Motorhead, etc. I'm open to other bands/genres (like 80's pop and classic rock), but this is my core.
Favorite Movies/TV: Star Wars, A Scanner Darkly, Event Horizon, The Thing, Lincoln, John Wick series, the MCU series (I'm not a huge fanboy but I do enjoy them), Family Guy, Scrubs, Cowboy Bebop, Bob's Burgers, Game of Thrones, Community, HIMYM, Doctor Who, Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, etc.

Drinks: Yes, but only socially. I only very, very rarely drink alone.
Hobbies/Interests: I play guitar, bass, sing, and am (slowly) learning keyboard. I'm not currently in a band or involved in any projects beyond expanding my own repertoire and ability, however. I play a lot of video games, mainly fantasy and sci-fi pc games. (I don't often get to play, but have always liked board games and strategy tabletop games and RPG's like D&D.) I also enjoy reading, both fiction and non-fiction. Admittedly, I read a lot of books based on game or movie franchises that I like, but I also read more "intelligent" articles, editorials, and opinion pieces. (I tend to be pretty politically aware, at least as far as domestic politics are concerned.) I'm involved in artistic pursuits; mainly drawing and illustrating, but I do like to paint every once in awhile. Lastly, and though I haven't gotten to do either in quite a while, I really like bowling and (think what you will) karaoke.
Bio: I live alone with my 2-year old cat, Alexstrasza (and, recently, my 6-month old kitten Hobbes) in Mount Pleasant, slightly east of Pittsburgh, PA. I work full-time with a flexible schedule and have plans to go back to school shortly with the goal of attaining my master's degree. I tend to be straightforward and opinionated, and enjoy a well-natured, good-faith debate. Unfortunately, this means I can be argumentative at times, and can sometimes be quickly irritated or frustrated, though I just as quickly get over it. On the good side, I am a well-meaning, good-natured person at my core. I am fiercely loyal to, but picky with, those I let close to me. I am hard-working, but sometimes this can lead me to overworking myself and (nearly) burning myself out.
Since it seems to matter nowadays, politically I would self-label myself as a left-leaning moderate. Socially, I am in the progressive camp, but I try not to lean too far to either side for good reason. That being said, personally, I have no tolerance for white supremacists, (would-be) nazis, or anyone else with a similarly intolerant social outlook.
I have never been married, nor do I have any children (though I definitely want to someday). I have, however, been in very long-term relationships. I am not looking for a quick hookup, but I'm not trying to jump right into something serious either.
