I guess you could say I am someone who lives dangerously. Not necessarily dangerous in a physically harmful way, perhaps not even in a overtly deviant way. I live in a way that is dangerous to the status quo. If I want something, and feel that it is in my best interest to go after it, I do. If something makes me feel good, I do it. I was not put on this earth to subjugate or serve, be it people, morality, or social standards. "I know not if this earth on which I stand is the core of the universe or if it is but a speck of dust lost for eternity. I know not and I care not. For I know that happiness is possible to me on earth. And my happiness needs no higher aim to vindicate it. My happiness is not the means to an end. It is the end. It is my own goal. It is my own purpose. " -Ayn Rand
So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more harmful to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
