Once upon a time waaaay back in the eighties there was a teenage boy living in the Cambridgeshire countryside,a fascination with all things dark,gloomy and mysterious and some personal tragedies,fused with a discovery of punk,post-punk and gothic rock turned him into the man in black,with a wit and humour to match...and even though he spends more time in dirty overalls(black is black,is err black) with a spanner in his hand,rather than leather jeans with a JD & coke in his hands...he's stayed dark ever since....boom-boom.
I enjoy the music of Sisters of Mercy,Red Lorry Yellow Lorry,Joy Division,Siouxsie & the Banshees,Bauhaus,alien sex fiend,Fields of the Nephilim,Pyschedelic Furs,Iggy Pop,David Bowie,Gary Numan,sex pistols,The Damned,The Stranglers,Ramones,Lou Reed,Nick Cave,Killing Joke,Jesus & Mary Chain,Pink Floyd,Motorhead,NFD,Rammstein,Mortiis, ,Interpol,Editors,Bach,Beethoven,Wagner,Mozart,Elgar,Ennio Morricone,oh & so many more than I can list here.
I like live music,clubs,festivals,visiting historic sites & events,battle re-enactments,I love to go for long walks,favourite places being:churches,graveyards & cemeteries,along the beach,especially in Winter & the more deserted the better,river embankement;like feeding the Swans,Ducks & Geese,or a walk in the woods on a Summer evening.
Other things I appreciate include:nature,sunsets,thunder storms,twilight,the sea,especially on a stormy day in the Fall or bleak mid-Winter,classic cars and aircraft events,historic re-enactments.
